DAY 1

Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari starts here, and we're so excited to be here with you. Meet your guide and ask any questions you may have. Then let's go out together and go on the safari you've been waiting for. It's not surprising that some of the aerial scenes from Out of Africa were shot here in Lake Nakuru National Park, with its fabulous views of the escarpment, lake and acacia forest. What also makes Lake Nakuru such a special place to visit is its populations of black and white rhinos, tree-climbing lions and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. You might also see leopards, flamingos and many different kinds of birds too.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
DAY 2

Masai Mara National Reserve — Days 2 & 3

One of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. And bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It's a place of beautiful savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees.

Accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
DAY 4

Serengeti National Park — Days 4 & 5

Welcome to the Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti, one of Africa’s top safari destinations. While you’re here, there’s an excellent chance that you’ll see leopards along the dry riverbanks, cheetahs out on the grasslands, and elephants, giraffes and all kinds of antelopes everywhere across the park. Watch also for the Serengeti’s famous lion prides. And that’s just the start. Some of the largest and most diverse wildlife populations on the planet roam the Serengeti, not to mention millions of wildebeest and zebras who migrate across the plains every year.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Moyo Tented Camp
DAY 6

Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view out across the caldera of this former volcano – quite apart from the altitude – will leave you gasping for air. Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor where a unique wildlife offering is added to the sheer beauty of the experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos. An ecosystem that has formed in the crater in the millennia since the volcano wrought its terrible fury upon the land. It could just be one of your best safari days ever.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge
DAY 7

Tarangire National Park

Wherever you go in Tarangire National Park, you’ll come across the park’s famous and larger-than-life baobab trees and elephants. These are the twin elements that give this park so much personality. There is, of course, so much more. We don’t just mean the huge populations of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras. Or the rugged landscape of rocky hills and rivers, swamps and savannah plains. You also have an excellent chance of seeing lions here – Tarangire is a real lion stronghold – and keep an eye out for leopards and cheetahs as well.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge
DAY 8

Amboseli National Park

The best thing about visiting Amboseli is seeing large elephants with big tusks with Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), in the background. It's also an excellent place to see lions, cheetahs, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, wildebeests and gazelles. Also, 420 bird species have been recorded in the park.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp
DAY 9

Your last day with us

Nairobi is your unforgettable gateway to so many Kenyan safaris. Apart from its very own national park, it promises world-class wildlife-rescue centers and museums, as well as markets, shops, bars, nightclubs and, above all, fine restaurants. It’s a pity that it has to end, but this is where your safari will draw to a close. We’re sure that you will return home with so many exciting and happy memories, and we hope that you will join us again on safari sometime in the future.
